Mailing list members are users that have signed up for a given mailing list to receive periodic emails, including weekly newsletters. If the application that is used to manage the mailing list allows it, you can also authorize members manually, but in this case such messages may be accepted as unsolicited and reported as spam by the recipients. Basically, these members can unsubscribe from a mailing list by clicking on a hyperlink in the messages they receive, or you, as the mailing list admin, can remove them manually in case they ask for this or in case you decide that some of the members should not be part of the list any longer. Each member will view only their own email address in the "To" section of the email messages they receive, but not the addresses of the remaining mailing list members.

Mailing List Members in Hosting

The feature-laden Majordomo mailing list management software program that comes with our Linux hosting will give you complete control over the members of any list that you create through the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You will be able to include or delete mailing list members by sending a message to majordomo@your-domain.com, so you can do this from any place without even having to sign into the Control Panel. If you add a mailing list member manually, they will get a verification request that they need to agree to, so as to sign up for the list. If they do this, they will get an email message with the mailing list’s guidelines and features. You’ll also be able to view a list of all your mailing list subscribers and to keep track of who’s receiving your newsletters or any other type of periodic email correspondence.

Mailing List Members in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you get a semi-dedicated server from our company and you set up electronic mailing lists through the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section, you will be able to manage all your mailing list subscribers without difficulty. We provide one of the most widely used mailing list clients called Majordomo. It will allow you to view all your mailing list subscribers, to import new or to remove existing ones by sending a message to the mailing list’s administrative address, so you can manage everything without even having to log into your hosting Control Panel. Of course, only you, as the mailing list admin, will be able to achieve that. New users will need to approve their subscription, so the messages that you send out will be authorized and you will not need to worry about messages getting reported as spam. We’ve also got a selection of instructional articles where you can find more information about how to manage the mailing list.
