PhpPgAdmin is one of the most popular tools for controlling PostgreSQL databases. It is intuitive, at the same time powerful and you can perform any action you would like - import, export and / or edit every cell, row or table within a database; grant, revoke or adjust the permissions for a particular user; execute SQL queries and many other things. If you would like to have a backup of a PostgreSQL-driven site, for instance, or transfer it to a different website hosting supplier, you can export the whole database in a format which you decide on - SQL, CSV, XML, XHTML and so on. Using phpPgAdmin, you'll have complete control over your databases and anything associated with them. The instrument was originally meant to be the PostgreSQL alternative of phpMyAdmin, however today the two have very little in common in terms of the user interface.

phpPgAdmin in Hosting

We provide phpPgAdmin with all our Linux hosting and you can access it from the PostgreSQL section of your Hepsia Control Panel as long as you have created at least one database. You'll see your databases indexed in alphabetical order in this particular section and on their right-hand side there is a compact phpPgAdmin button. As soon as you click on the button for a selected database, you will be signed in automatically in a new tab of your Internet browser. If you'd like to log in manually, you are able to check out our direct phpPgAdmin login page and type in the database account information. This feature can also be used in case someone else, for example a web designer, needs to access a database part of your account. This way, your files and e-mail messages will be protected since nobody will be able to access them.

phpPgAdmin in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to access and take advantage of phpPgAdmin in order to take care of any database with only a few mouse-clicks if you host your sites using a semi-dedicated server package from our company. When you enter the PostgreSQL section of our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel, you'll see a small phpPgAdmin button beside each database which you've created. Whenever you click on this button for a particular database, you will be signed in automatically, so you will not be expected to enter any additional login credentials. Because you may employ the services of a graphic designer, yet, we have also supplied an alternative to get into phpPgAdmin manually using a direct login page where the database username and password has to be entered. In this way, the designer will be unable to access your files or see your private contact information.
